Honestly, can't wait for this movie, reviews have been better than good for it.
WOW!!!!
I cant wait for this Bond movie! IMO, Daniel Craig is the most believable Bond ever ion the series. Even beating out Sean Connery. The stories are great so far. But why not remake You Only Live Twice with Craig? LOVING the action.
I agree. Craig has been the Bond that comes the closest to how Ian Fleming wrote the character. He has that ability to be not just ruthless but stone cold that even Connery did not totally display. And the stories in the new Bond universe have indeed been better than in the past - you still have the tech but the plots are more grounded in our world.
In general, I like Craig. I liked him in the bond films, in Tomb Raider many moons ago and in Cowboys and Aliens. He also made a great film called Defiance, which is a true story of partisans in World War 2 Russia.
Craig's Bond is a reboot of the story and character. I don't think remaking any of the old stories would suit this character.

I didn’t realize that there was this talk and then I did a film with Idris [Elba] and he said that he met Barbara Broccoli [James Bond producer] and that it does seem like there is a possibility in the future that there could very well be a black James Bond. And I would have to vote for Idris because I just finished working with him and he’s a great guy. [Laughs]
He’s also a fellow London native, as well.
That’s right. I didn’t even realize that until I started to work with him. I thought he was an American based on his role on “The Wire.” [Laughs]
While we're speaking about Bond...

When Daniel Craig eventually does retire from playing Bond, I could actually see Elba in the role, providing that he's not getting on too much in age at the time. He's a fantastic character actor and he would be more than capable of shouldering such an iconic role, as well continuing the darker and more grounded take on Bond that we've seen in the Craig films. And at least I wouldn't consider him being black a problem, considering just how many actors have portrayed the character over the years.
Not all of them, but Casino Royale was finally done right. The original was a comedy with Woddy Allen and David Niven but nobody counted it as Bond when Connery showed up. Today you could not do Thunderball or From Russia With Love, but most of the others would lend themselves for a remake, IMO.
Never Say Never. Perhaps the oddest Bond flick is 1983’s “Never Say Never Again,” in which hard-charging Sean Connery returned to the role he made famous in the early sixties. It was strange enough that one year would produce both a Roger Moore Bond film (“Octopussy”) as well as a Sean Connery Bond film, as if the two were competing. There was also the fact that “Never” is almost an exact duplicate of “Thunderball.” The plot is the same and many of the other details are lifted exactly from the earlier classic. To see Connery eighteen years older hustling through the same plot is like a weird funhouse trick.
I really can't wait for Skyfall. Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale with Craig are my two favorites so far in the entire genre. IMO Craig's the most versatile actor to have taken on the role that we've yet seen. I would be okay with a non-Caucasian playing Bond, but I'm not sure the world is yet, except possibly as a spoof...
since casino royale came out several years ago and it starring craig ive hve shunned these movies like a plague as i asumed it would be just awful and very bond 2000 ie worse then brosnans era whom i at first liked but soond found to be even worse then moore but today i finally took the plunge and watched casino royale and i was BEYOND surprised how good it was and how believable i found craig and the new Bond overall i must admit i am now a fan of him and these new bond movies and yes i would agree with you bro he is the BEST bond ever for sure no doubt about it and i love the new modern bond i really do.He is the best Bond ever. If you have read any of the books, then you see that Craig is much closer to Ian Fleming's original Bond than even Sean Connery IMO.

ok im going to watch Quantum of solace now and see where that takes me
could agree more after seeing casino royale.. im saving solace for tomorrow and im about to watch this weeks SOA ep now insteadYou will LOVE it. You get the real Bond from that movie. M (Judi Dench) is great in it. She is so much more plausible and effective than the original M. Overall, this is the adult, raw Bond. I never thought any olf the Bonds before or After Sean Connery could be topped, but Craig did it by a large margin. Sean's Bond almost seems camp to me now.
