12 Monkeys on SYFY

I really don't think I want to see the movie. How can any movie do what they have done with this show? It would only disappoint me if I watched it.

the movie is really nothing like the show-the same name and some character names they share, and that is about it

terry gilliam (he made the films munchasen and brazil as well) made it-so it is in his bizarre style

from what i remember:

the future Cole comes from is more of a dark and freakishly unrealistic place

the army of the 12 monkeys is "led" by Goines and they are only set to release zoo animals-a type of environmental group

the actual plague is released by another DR-a type of creepy stalker guy of Dr Railly-he belongs to no larger group that we know of

the movie brings up the issue of insanity vs time travel; is Cole insane and hallucinating or is he really from the future? can memories be trusted in such a person? etc,etc

it is a "shallow" piece of work compared to the series
