can't forget TJ having magical medical abilities and able to create a antidote to a toxin that didn't kill 40% of her (test) patients first try, the magical make-up case, the IKEA furniture and satin sheets.....
oh the list of sgu absurdities goes on.....and on.......

Damn you for reminding me of all that idiocy! :shep_lol:

All it takes is to be reminded of one little thing to make me remember how insulting it was that they thought we'd just swallow that crap without complaint. What arrogance on the part of the producers. What hubris. Look where that got them, LOL! :icon_clap:

LMAO! This dude will have to have magical ammo, magical replenishing food, magical water, magical self-cleaning uniform and hair grooming kit. Most of all, he will need a magical audience to appear out of nowhere! :smiley_simmons:

Well, I think he'd have to have a magical Bag of Holding, but I believe that even the AD&D people had to license that from Disney, as Mary Poppins appears to have used it, first. ;-)

OMG you just said that didnt you? i should sap you for that comment as now it will likly succeed just BC of you and yer big moth :P

and yes personally i do indeed see the humor in it im just afraind these retarded squeedrones will make this huge deal about it cling to it and claim its the bees knees like they did with the real show and knowing these aquee drones i think thats a safe bet as they completly lack any kind of functioning brain patterns.

anyway im all for 100% ignore but yeah i do find it funny dont expect me to go around other sites talking bout it tho.

I still giggle about that idiot from the failed SGU cartoon who came here to try and talk smack about you. He was such a whiny little bitch. It was hilarious! Just his whole attitude from thinking he could commit copyright infringement to his rejection of your professional services and advice to getting all pissy and defensive when the legal hammer came down and squashed his stupid dream. What a tool he was! :smiley-laughing021:

Good times, sigh... :chuncky:

I would but I left it "on the edge of the universe" in my magic surgical kit, ya know, the one I use for doing kidney transplants and other major surgery on the fly.

It's like the folks who are still wanting Firefly to come back.

Yes, I loved the show. However, all these years later, most of the actors from the show have gone on to different things, and frankly, some are probably too old for it now, I think.

I guess Fillion's supposed to break his contract for the Castle show and just leap on back to Firefly. Sorry, kiddies. That just isn't going to happen.

Castle's on Season Five now (starts September 24th). He's not going to leave a show that's proven to be truly successful beyond what is admittedly a niche group (sci-fi/Whedon fans).

Actually the Firefly premise is pretty age agnostic for the cast - they don't need to be young twenty-somethings for it to work. Nonetheless the cast members have moved on - however getting them together for, say, a TV movie, miniseries or direct to DVD thing would not require them to leave their current roles. One can hope...

Actors work about 14 hours a day (really). They'd have to be burning the candle at both ends to make something like that happen. For an actor, it's generally (at least) a six day work week if they're on a series.

There'd have to be a damn good reason to do this though. There's nothing worse than having a quality story (show/movie) milked to the point that it becomes insufferable (Indiana Jones for instance). Just because fans want more that isn't reason enough to give them more. The new story with these characters would need to be really good, it would need to be organic and make sense, otherwise you'd end on a sour note of cynical money grubbing motivations and no one wants that.

SEE? This thread is already hilarious, and the thing hasn't had its diapers changed yet! This thing is so ludicrously ungainly it may as well be a "KICK ME" sign. :happy0007:

yes but most of that is spent sitting around waiting to do their scenes its not "HARD" work by any means imo and they are payed ridiculous saleries for very little work and anyone who says actors have such a hard proffesion and we should pity them imiedietly triggers a rush of angry emotions in me.

Firefly could have been revived using the SGU sets, or at least the gateroom and the corridors. Throw some Texas-style wallpaper in ket areas, a few wooden chairs, some clever doodads abd you have Firefly. The actors still look great, and it could work. But I think that like Illiterati said, it is not practical for them to do. Unfortunately, same with Stargate Atlantis. :(

OMG, can you imagine somebody chopping up footage from Atlantis, then using green screen and Adobe After Effects to cobble together a "revival" starring a teenager exploring Atlantis alone with a weapon at eye level throughout the entire thing? I would be bashing it all the same! Why couldnt they write something plausible, and why SGU? Even the real show had less than a 900,000 viewers.

Ya know
It's one thing to go after the people "in charge" and call them out because they should know better, but it's another thing to go after the fans, makes me wonder just how "evolved" we have actually become..........................

If you mean we shouldn't just bash SGU fans in general I agree. Bashing the people who participated in this specific project is another matter, IMO.

I live in the midst of production for many television programs, and I've done Production Assistant work in the past, and yes, the actors are very busy. When they are not filming a scene, they are often rehearsing, running lines and/or are blocking shots. Rewrites happen all the time, so lines much be relearned. Plus, a scene is rarely shot from only one angle, and that doesn't just mean they have more than one camera on them at a time. They RESHOOT the scene from another angle, and then it's finally edited together to show changes in perspective. That all takes time. That's the reason why you'll often see beverage levels change in a scene when they swap perspectives.

You'll even see them going over their lines (and learning new ones) while they are in the makeup chair.

There is a reason why so many television actors have drivers take them to and from shooting locations. They're often too damned tired to take themselves to and from those locations safely.

I found another short discussion about this production here.

http://www.scifihero.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8278&pid=72191&st=0&#entry72191

I didn't catch that our new major is wearing a lieutenant's uniform in the trailer. Apparently they are recycling LT Scott’s wardrobe. :facepalm2:
Perhaps he had to snag the Lieutenant's uniform from another source, as he had to wriggle out of his Major's uniform in order to escape Eli's dangerously unhinged jaws...
