Hey all, Sherry Jackson has returned from the trip I told you guys about last week. I am planning the interview with her and we are going to follow the same format and length as the Scifi Channel (yes, THAT name) interview she did in 1999 here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoXE1JI8St8

She would like to do about 10 minutes of video, and she will field questions from the members here and your member name along with your question will be read to her. She is an AWESOME lady, and she has been in so many things for so many years she is a wealth of history and information. Take a look at her work and think of good questions. :)

It will be shot interview style, and she is going to give the shoutout to GateFans as this will be an EXCLUSIVE GateFans interview. Post your questions!

How about "How did you get to be in a movie at the age of seven?" or a similar question?

"Out of all your career, which is the moment you remember most fondly and why?"

Damn that's a lot of gigs, but I don't think I've seen any of them. :icon_eek:
How much time do we have exactly to come up with questions?
I remember Ape posted we could rewatch some of the productions she was in. Do we have time for that? Which ones should we choose to watch?

Well, the single episode of Trek TOS "What Little Girls Are Made Of" made quite a stir at the time. Sherry had been the nice little girl from The Danny Thomas Show, and now she was playing a half naked android on Star Trek. It was like the transition Britney Spears made from Mousketeer to Miss Mayhem.

Rewatch that TOS episode. But she has also been in the original Batman, Twilight Zone, Lost In Space...havent seen those?

The original Batman is this one I assume? Then I haven't seen it. Neither have I seen Twilight Zone or Lost In Space.
I have seen that TOS episode but I can't remember that. I can watch it any time I like though so that I shall do.

Hmm Questions:

1) When you played Andrea on Star Trek (What are Little Girls made of?), what was the biggest challenge in portraying, in effect, a machine that while appearing adult was emotionally kind of childlike?

2) When you played Pauline on Batman, what was it like working with Frank Gorshin (the Riddler) as a mamber of his gang?

Rac80

The Belle of the Ball
my question:

I have found that many storylines in both westerns and scifi shows can easily be translated without the "genre elements" to other genres...do you feel your character Andrea, was genre specific or were there elements of her that are universal to women/the way they are percieved?

A list in progress

Here's a list I'm working on that I'll probably add to as I think of more questions. Pick whatever one you want from it OM1.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Having worked in basically every genre on television which one was your favorite?

Q. Who is the better kisser (and bigger horn dog) Robert Conrad or William Shatner?

Q. As an actor what do you think of the current method of television production, namely sci-fi production with green screens?

Q. When you were working on The Twilight Zone did you have a sense that it was something special and ground breaking and would become such an icon in television history? Also, did you meet Rod Serling and what was he like?

Q. It almost seems as if it was acceptable to be more riske' back in the 1960's verses today. How did you feel about the amount of skin you were required to show on shows like Star Trek?

Q. Were you allowed to keep any of the costumes/outfits from any of the roles you played? (And did they let you keep that low-cut, "highly ventilated" little number from the Star Trek episode? :D )

Q. Which productions did you enjoy working on the most? Were there any directors or producers that really impressed you and made you a bettor actor? Were there any directors or producers that were horrible to work for?

Q. On the stand alone TV episodes you did which co-stars did you enjoy working with the most?

Q. Give us some Hollywood dirt -- Which co-stars turned out to be huge egomaniacs? Was anyone ridiculous with their delusions of self importance? Did a jealous co-star ever try to stab you in the studio commissary or cut the brake cable on your car? (June Lockhart while you worked on Lost in Space perhaps? She just seems the type, ya know?) Spill the beans!!!

Yes on all. :)

When I searched the full cast and crew on IMDB for those series (Lost In Space and Twilight Zone) there was no mention of Sherry Jackson. Are you sure those are the correct ones? Was Sherry in particular episodes or in the entire series? How do I know which episodes to watch?

OM1 listed the exact episodes and the characters name. But if you missed it all you have to do is Google "Sherry Jackson Twilight Zone" or "Sherry Jackson Lost in Space", etc. It's easy. You can even search Wiki for a breakdown of certain episodes.

I found it. It was on the IMDB page for Sherry Jackson which is what Overmind copied here.

She will be reviewing this thread periodically to see what sort of things you guys want to know, and when the interview is ready to be filmed then each question will be read and the questions answered. Sorta like: "GateFans member shaved ape asks - Having worked in basically every genre on television which one was your favorite?"

She has seen this thread. :)
