It may seem like you're making less cookies when you're doing it, especially if you lose some cookies, but you'll make up more than you lose on the other end. Going through the process will give you access to certain upgrades and achievements which will increase your CPS. And the wrinklers form a nice piggy bank as I mentioned before.
Hover over your stats points (a little black box) for Legacy, and it will tell you how much % of +CPS you get for ascending and how many prestige points. When you ascend, your CPS starts out at a much faster rate (by %), and things gain speed much much faster. In a matter of a few hours, you are past were you were in days the old life gave you.

If you were to ascend now you'd have enough to buy a few heavenly upgrades. I don't wanna give too much away because finding things out for yourself is part of the fun. There is one upgrade which I find particularly interesting which costs 100 heavenly chips. It would allow you to keep one upgrade of your choice after reincarnating and it will be active right from the start. You can only select an upgrade which you have already achieved. It is important to spend some time considering the options as your choice will have a big impact on the next run. O and don't forget you need one chip to unlock the heavenly upgrade system itself. So I'd say be sure to have at least 101 chips when you ascend. And think about which upgrade would be most useful to you.Cool thanks!
It looks like I get 1% for every legacy level I have when I ascend. So with 43 legacy I will get 43% CPS of my previous amount. I will also get 43 Heavenly chips to use. So I'm thinking I will let it continue to build for now and I won't ascend until I come close to maybe 100%. We'll see though.
Yeah it's 3% across the board. It adds to your CPS. If you don't think it's worth it buying it now, spend it on other things or save up for more. At some point that thing will seem cheap to you.

The game is fun to play without cheating, and has some replay value, but I will admit that there is a limit at the very high end. I need to wipe everything and begin afresh. I ascended many times and had MILLIONS of prestige points and was able to increase my ascended CPS by more than + 1 million %. The top building is still the Chancemaker, but there are more upgrades you get depending on the number of buildings you buy in each category.

I'm doing the "One Mind" grandma revolt but have been avoiding clicking the red cookies when they pop up. The one time I clicked a red one it slowed my CPS by half for several minutes. Is there any benefit for clicking the red cookies?
