Star Wars "Rebels"

I saw whispers of this today, along with news that the last few eps of "the clone wars" will be released next year as well.
I am a bit concerned it will be "disney-fied" in comparison to Clone wars (which does have some pretty strong themes in it for a "western cartoon"), but I will cast no stones till I see at least the standard 6 eps I give shows I am interested in. If they do it well, with the Organa family backing the rebellion, I will be interested to see where it goes. :)

I think it will be what we want. Given the nature and content of some of the live action shows, and at least one cartoon on Disney XD (which are meant for say 15 and up) they shouldn't have a problem with at least a CLONE WARS type content.

last few eps of clone wars? so there will be more then? ie wrapping the Asoka leaving the academy thing it left off on?

as for organa i would personally like to see them touch more on the storylines from force unleashed.

I would go for the whole new trilogy being based around Force Unleashed

They say REBELS will be in the time leading up to New Hope; wonder if they will include any Force Unleashed material? Would like to see Gen Rahm Koda and his troops.

The toons tend to absorb a bit of secondary canon stuff, so it is quite possible.

The Falcon, in some form or another has been kicking around in SW for a -long- time. The YT-1200 stock freighter (the basis for the Falcon) has been in...... "service"?? in the SW universe for some 100 years or more.

I do agree however that they should make it a decent intro, the falcon is as much a character of SW as C-3P0 or R2-D2.

Exactly. Even though it's a ship it's iconic and well loved. (Who hasn't called their high school beater car the Millennium Falcon?)

I agree with you dude, it has to be well done, like the intro of Slave one in SW-2

So far though this new SW show doesn't seem too bad. "Chopper" doesn't thrill me but I'm not too worried about it yet. We shall see.

This is set not too long before ep 3, then it is not out of the question for us to see Lando either. If it is the MF he owned it before Solo, correct?

Yup, Lando picked it up and used it in his smuggling career and lost it to Han in a Sabaac game. Both of them kept it "updated", but Han did the most work to it. By "lore" the repeat blaster you see in "a new hope" in the docking bay on Tatooine pop out of the bottom was added by Lando, and the Quad cannons and concussion missiles were added by Han after the rise of the empire period.

PS: Sabaac is a FUN game to play, if you can find the rules, it is great.

A well loved boyfriend who came to a very untimely end referred to the family station wagon (his family) as the "Falcon". He told me he'd run circles around other folks on the freeway in the thing.

He really loved that car.
