Im loving this show! Torchwood is da bomb. Im wondering why some of the edgy/funny of Torchwood is seemingly absent in Doctor Who. Torchwood uses such good cinematography, such good dialogue...its so different from Doctor Who! But I havent given up on Doctor Who.

Well that's because Doctor Who is intended to be a show for the whole family, something you can watch with young children, while Torchwood is specifically made for adult viewers. That's not to say that Doctor Who doesn't have some of that edgy stuff, it does. Though it's more present in the later seasons when Moffat took charge, than in the earlier ones.

Doctor who has always been lighthearted(except this new season) and torchwood has always been a little darker...
