Hahaha, and why not? It's not like the originals were so awesome they shouldn't be touched... As a matter of fact, some of these could even turn out to be better than their movie theater counterparts! :D

I think individually these movies are very cheap to produce. I would be interested to know the combined cost of all these turds. They must be making a pretty good return on their (cheap) investment since they keep grinding these dogs out.

Wow. So I guess Syfy is making good money off of them, since they do get decent ratings, specially the Saturday night ones.

Think of it this way mate. It takes 4 eps of SGU with it's current ratings to get as many eyeballs as these janky movies. If SGU costs 2.5mil per ep, thats 10mil, ya think any of these movies cost anywhere near that much? :D

They get these "movies" from 2 sources.

One is Roger Cormans outfit - his are generally a bit better (but still not good). The other is The Asylum, which makes the "mockbusters" (which are typically horrific).
