is axanar going to be anything more than a 20 some minute, one and done video? in the ST PACIFIC 201 comments, ppl were saying per agreement with "the MAN" that fan made vids cannot be more than 20 some minutes worth of content, with no sequels, per the agreement that came about because of axanar

Axanar is going to be a one and done. But Alec Peters is working VERY hard to get into Alex Kurtzman's pants so he can do something more lengthy. He is getting heavily ratioed for his recent video praising Kurtzman, But he is kissing the wrong ass. Kurtzman's license would not work for Peters or Axanar. Best bet is to wait out the end of Kurtzman's contract in 2023 and do real Star Trek then.

Let's not forget that the whole reason the fan films got reined in was Alec Peters - he was the one who used crowd finds raised for Axanar to open a studio intended not only for it but also to make for profit films.

All true. But at this point, even with his transgressions and selfish goal of creating the best Star Trek fan film ever made, he has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he CAN do Star Trek. He can do it better than Abrams, Kurtzman, and even Brannon Braga and Rick Berman. I say that ViacomCBS should hire him, and also (believe it or not), Joseph Mallozzi as the head showrunner. Joe is MUCH more of a Star Trek fan than anyone here has realized. He can write it and write it well and according to Gene Roddenberry's vision.
