My favorites were Apophis/Ra, Hathor and Qetesh. They all seemed much more malevolent than Ba'al. But I enjoyed watching Ba'al the most in the series.

Ba'al was my second favorite. That ep with him and Adria and SG-1 in the caves is one of my all time favorites.

While Apophis did seem more malevolent, Ba'al was cleverer. I think it was that element of intelligence plus his actually being able to cooperate with others that set him apart.

Lest we portray Ba'al as too gentle, he is also the one who among other things killed O"Neill over and over again (using a sarcophagus to revive him). He also killed some 60 million people on two worlds rather than give them to another System Lord and on at least one occasion sent a bomb as a gift.
