awwwwww Hemsley was a good actor...I'm sure "Weezy" is waiting for him. (side note: Isabel Sanford who played "weezy" was 20 years old than Hemsley during their jeffersons run....but no one seemed to ever notice! )

A few folks are alleging that he was sky high all the time.

Today, the world is remembering the legacy of "The Jeffersons" star Sherman Hemsley, who passed away at the age of 74. And pretty much any reference to Hemsley brings up memories of the equally famous theme song from "The Jeffersons" 1980s TV sitcom.

But Hemsley reportedly had a little-known passion for psychedelic rock music and … LSD. A former keyboardist, he even recorded an unreleased album with Jon Anderson, singer of the band YES.

I love YES - someone must release said album ASAP! :thoranime12:

Oh, and we need tours of "the Flying Teapot room" too.

He was a COOL CAT. Of course he was high all the time. :) But he may not have been on drugs all of that time. I loved YES too! My fave from them was Owner of a Lonely Heart. But I have to hear this album you are talking about!

This is a not so cool single he did called "Eyes in the Dark". This is from 1992:
