So I just watched this episode, I liked it -- very entertaining and gripping IMO. I thought at certain scenes it was kinda slow and dragged a bit but all-in-all, it was very good and I am looking forward to the next episode.

Some good points included referencing one of the original characters of TW and Eve Myles being as epic as ever. The beach scene was really cool, and enjoyed the autopsy scene too - I know I'm so morbid. :)

Both my daughter and I watched it and loved it.
It hadn't even entered my twisted little mind that "Torchwood" is an anagram for Doctor Who.

How embarrassing.

So as long as mrs. Gatefan is in da house the kids don't watch tv. And as soon as she's gone your kids take over the house? You softy! :P

I saw it late last night.

It was okay but I do fear the high number of "inside" references will befuddle people who did not watch the "Children of Earth" serial. Aside from that the plot was very sketchily presented. However, this is a 10 part serial so potentially that should not be an issue.

Well, they got it for a little while, Now I've watched the FS premiere. I was going to go for torchwood, but That was probably going to be a bit too nasty for them.

For some reason I'm seeing the text above here in my quick reply textfield. I guess OM is still busy making some changes.

After reloading the page I found the previous test plus my latest reply already in the quick-reply field.

That is the new AUTO SAVE feature. Have you ever tried to write a humungous post and then lost the page or power went out and then you lost all of it? That can no longer happen. If you start a post and then intentionally close the browser after 60 sec (the save interval), when you come back, your post will be saved. That is a FEATURE, not a glitch!

So now everytime I want to post something I have to first remove the text that was already in the box. That doesn't make much sense.
I don't write a lot of humungous posts and when I do I usually use an external text editor.

Perhaps we should have these posts moved to the upgrade thread.

Why is it you have to re-edit your posts so often? All you have to do to clear that info is to clear your cache and close the browser. When you re-open it it will be gone. :)

It's not about re-editing posts. When I know there's new posts on a thread and I have that thread still opened in one of my tabs then I simply refresh the page. What happens then is that in the quick reply textfield it seems to put all the text of all the previous posts I made (including quotes) since I loaded that page. When I close the page and reopen it the textfield is empty as it should be.

By the way, my browser pretty much only closes when there's a windows update that requires rebooting my computer. :)

Go into your settings and clear the cache and the problem will be gone. :)

I have cleared the cache but it didn't seem to matter. Now I've completely closed down Firefox and restarted it. Let's see what happens now.
