That "SGU fucking rocks" one had me laughing hard! I think that the shills who were out posting all the ratings and customer reviews on Amazon got desperate. I think TPTB started the first SGU Facebook site and then other shills posted on them. And there arent many of those happening anymore. Now, they are all pleading messages worded along the lines of:

"Please give SGU another chance"
"The next season will make you come back"
"Season 1 wasnt that good but season 2 will be better"
"SGU can win back your love"

They are painfully aware that the old fanbase has given up on the show and there is no way for them to spin it. Now, they think they are going to win them back by promising cameos from Atlantis, and McKay no less? I dont care to see McKay in a SGU stones episode. Unless he is stoned onto the ship to fix it, or stoned into Eli so he can fix it and turn the lights on, what other purpose will he be there for? And Woolsey...really? Woolsey is not a character I am exactly fond of...he is boring. I dont really count him as regular Atlantis crew. The show is already dead. Why cant they simply plan the ending episode like they said they had ready, and then film that along with these last episodes for the show in season 2?

I honestly think that's what they're doing.

Look at what we know of Season 2. Evidently we finally find out why Destiny is so important. We all know it's going to be some pretentious crap, so as soon as we know it'll be like "Alright, get it over with then."


2 Seasons. that's it. With all the new shows Syfylis has in store, SGU having the terrible ratings it has will make them replace it

In this case, we DO want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I dont just want SGU cancelled, I want the current PTB to all be fired and replaced COMPLETELY with real science fiction writers who could to the Stargate franchise justice. Give it to Amanda Tapping for chrissakes! Mallozzi, Wright and all those guys need to pack their shit and get the hell out. I dont want SG-1 movies from them, SGA movies, NOTHING. They might as well be lepers in my eyes.

I have been posting here for so long & have become a "hater" that I fear I have become self-indoctrinated into that mindset of a scorched Earth policy & wanting the show to just burn when really I want it to get, not just better, but at least half way decent. I don't know quite how or when I got like that but I am blaming the other side for being total twats & making me hate the show even more because of their behaviour/conduct to the point of me being a "hater"............... it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I could hold out hope if I really liked at least something in this show. I sorta like the design of the ship, but the problem there is where the ship is (way out in nowhere). I sorta like the spinning stargate design, but I dont like the fact that they are short range and there is no database to choose destinations from...oh, and lets not forget about the FTL clock. I started out liking Greer and Eli, then Greer turned out to be an immoral thug beyond redemption. Then Chloe, who IMMEDIATELY annoyed me, became even more annoying and now she has magic alien powers and does stuff like walking towards holes being drilled into the ship by hostile aliens? Why do we have to have the Wray/lesbian thing in our faces? Why have I seen Scott humping two different women already?

There is just too much of the wrong thing going on and the fact that it is already part of the story arc (if thats what you call it), its pretty much beyond redemption for me. :icon_e_wink:

Soooo....to get a new start, we have to end whats happening with Stargate and save its image. We need to stop the show before they start stoning in Wraith and borrowing from shows like Ghost Hunters or Eureka. When they bring in characters from the past SG shows, its not really them. They seem disconnected in a very obvious way. Seeing RDA on Destiny while stoned in looked weird to me. Daniel wasnt Daniel. Sam wasnt really involved in anything...wasnt believable. Where was Atlantis all this time?

They fucked up, plain and simple!

Actually I have a post in the huge post of sgu suckage thread where I fix the storyline, post season 1. The sad thing is I really feel like I could write this better than they can, and there is no way I would call myself a writer.
