Has anyone else here seen the oldie Crack in the World? It was made in 1965 and stars Dana Andrews, Janette Scott and Kieron Moore. The basic plot is all three work on a project to harvest geothermal energy from the core of the Earth, but the method they use cracks the crust of the Earth and destruction ensues.
As a disaster movie it moves along pretty well if a bit soapy at times and the acting is good. It also sets a foreboding, doomsdayish tone well. Just turn your brain off regarding the physics especially those of the ending.
