He was quite young, but then pro athletes' bodies take a lot of abuse and their early deaths aren't so surprising! RIP Bubba.

He wasn't even 70 yet. Another article I found (in the LA Times) indicates that he was found dead by "his caretaker".

yep that makes me wonder. one of my psych profs was studying the long term effects of head-injuries on pro and semi-pro athletes (he works with the Indianapolis Colts) - there is an increase of earlier-onset alzheimer's among football players. These are men as young as 35 or 40 having late-stage symptoms. very sad.
