Tornado Tribulations

We had the first serious tornadoes of the season - later than usual. It wasn't fun at all and even though there wasn't much damage all of the windows in my office got blown out! Which means I will be working from home for a few days until they get the place repaired and dried out. It's just telecommuting for now, but you're going to be seeing me a bit more here.

One bad thing about working from home - it's MY computer and I can surf the web if I don't want to fill in reports thus far I have ordered two books AND Once Upon A Time's season 5 on eBay, bought my daughter a ring commemorating her LDS mission, purchased some new bedside tables and table linens from Wayfair (such a catchy tune ), and am looking for mr rac's christmas gift- he wants a nice chess table for the bedroom seating area. can we say WASTING my time!??!?! because of the tornado and high wind damage around the city it's going to be about 2 weeks before we'll be back at our facility! (It's just in a community outreach center in one of the troubled parts of Indy.) now i'm tracking all my packages-- next wednesday is delivery day it seems

Got season five of OUAT today! yeah ordered a few more things this weekend. Luckily Tues - thurs I will be "in the field" - visiting facilities & schools meeting with my "clients" (that is what the state calls them - makes me feel like a hooker I swear! )and discussing their treatment plans.

I LOVE THAT SERIES! I have it in my collection, and I have watched the series a couple of times already. That, and the Planet of the Apes series which was also good. Logan's Run made for a particularly good TV series, and in it you will find out why the earth was destroyed by war. Also, I liked the Jessica of the series better than the Jessica of the movie. The movie Logan was better. Oh, and you owe yourself the V tv series!

I already have the V miniseries - both of them and the tv series. We bought that years ago. Oh gotta check on the planet of the apes series.

I admit I am having fun coming home early to see what got delivered each day!

It seems the latest thing is to order groceries on line - everything from specific menus (blue apron to name one) to groceries to be delivered (google express) to order groceries that you pick up. My mailbox and inbox are overflowing with coupons - get $X off your first order of $Y. So cheap Rac has ordered from google express - it was a costco order and I got $25 off $40 - free shipping (I ordered about $50 ) and it was okay to have it delivered to the house. Since I am mostly working from home right now -I didn't have to go to costco and get it myself. I've looked at blue apron and peapod(?)- over priced food- I can find recipes myself on line. I will probably do the $10 off your pick up of groceries at Walmart and Market distict - just because it's a coupon.

So have any of you tried these services?

I just renewed my Costco membership yesterday. Gas is soooo cheap here in California now that the markets have started having price wars. It really is nothing for somebody to avoid the high priced markets in the South Bay beach cities by driving less than 5 miles away to Costco or Walmart to get the same item for 30% less. I love Costco!
