About a week ago my old reliable One Plus died, putting me in the position of needing a replacement but also a replacement that corporate IT would allow on our MDM solution. So my choices were:
a) Corporate issued iPhone and replace my own myself, in which case I am carrying two phones.
b) Replace mine with a model we now allow on the MDM network. When my One Plus died its exception died (it had a ROM on it made by IT and we don't do that anymore).
I chose B because that way the phone belongs to me and corporate pays a lot of the price (as in 60%). Our choices now are all iPhones - I could choose the 8 or the XS.
I chose an XS with 512GB memory.
I will post more impressions as I get used to it - remember my past two plus years were on a special AOSP ROM our IT wrote for security.
