No its not Cyberdine Systems but Boston Dynamics burning up those DARPA dollars.

Seems they are working on several robots to due multiple battlefield functions

This tech has been in development for DECADES. The tech involved will allow retrofit of many battlefield systems and weapons such as tanks, artillery, aircraft...everything except the foot soldier. We are already using telepresence tech to guide the drones. We dont have a robot capable of human body movement to the degree that a foot soldier can accomplish. But as soon as we do, that is a major game changer.

True, we are however seeing some pretty impressive advances in cybertech these days.
I would wager we will see "Robocop" before we see "soldier type" robots *that have practical application in war*

WE may not have robots with good movements, however....

This particular one with the robot "dancing" and "singing" just reminds me how simplistic today's pop music is, and how so little removed it is from the talentless likes of Justin Bieber/Miley Cyrus/blah blah/pick of the year pop stars. :anim_59: I cant remember the last time I saw some real talent out there except perhaps Bruno Mars who appears to actually be able to play his instrument. The robotic, canned song in that video is the visual/audio equivalent of a bag of potato chips or a protein bar :)

Having said that, I foresee a very quick adaptation to these humanoid robots if they should ever be deployed. It seems like it would be too easy to thwart them with a real brain. :) Also, I see it as a very attractive investment if a military contract can be procured to develop them. MILLIONS of dollars can be made just talking about these kind of robots to the military. :rolleye0014:

BILLIONS of dollars can be made by selling them as sex toys. ;) (Yeah, you're all thinking it, don't even play :P )
