The Tricorder in Star Trek is Impossible

Nah, I would correct you and say that the tricorder in YOUR VIDEO is impossible (actually, just flawed). The technology to use sensors to detect heartbeats, blood pressure, temperature, distance and size are already being used by the military. Using algorithms which correlate the data from those sensors can determine sex (heart rate differences), perhaps even species (because heart rates, size and temperature are different between say...birds and reptiles and mammals)

I think that the tricorder in Star Trek is something far more comprehensive than the device you show in that video. Far from impossible.
