No, it's #7 . I don't get the appeal, but it makes a steady flow of money at a relatively low budget, and is a solid franchise the studio can bank on. I think this new Hobbs and Shaw twist on it can revitalize it from the ones with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in it.

i am not into the whole fast cars thing, but this movie looks like it may have some other things involved?

i now that in F&F some of the characters are law enforcement types undercover

i think i have only watched the very first one and Tokyo Drift

It is #9. Really they changed the franchise sev real movies ago from street racing to first heists then international action. I believe that change came through in number 4.

Actually it turns out this film is okay. Both Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson played their roles well and the plot if vapid served to set the action up. Vanessa Kirby was entertaining to watch also (she was also fun in Mission Impossible: Fallout last year) and Idris Elba was a satisfactory villain.
