I assume they are going for a more serious "fright night" here, I liked the original 2 :(

Wait... that's David Tennant? From Dr. Who?

... he looks like Alice Cooper with a porn 'stache. confused0069.gif

I liked the first one. The sequel felt more like an attempt to cash in on the first one's success.

Probably quite true Bluce, but they were "fun" horror movies, like what the NoES series became after the first 2. I liked that stuff just as much as the more serious horror movies out there.

Oh, I'm with you 200%. Didn't people seem happier in the 80s? Even when being bludgeoned to death or having the blood sucked out of them, it all seemed to be done in such good spirits. :icon_lol:

There's no way anyone could have taken stuff like FN or NoES: The Dream warriors seriously, is there???

NoES was one of my favorite horror series during the 80s. I loved the 1st, hated the 2nd, loved Dream Warriors, thought Dream Master was not bad then the rest sucked. Still, I enjoyed the series. That being said, what the hell was Wes Craven thinking when he wrote up "New Nightmare"??

I thought it was pretty neat, a way to go back to the serious nature of the first movie. Unfortunately, it did become a little "too much self edification" didn't it?

I didn't enjoy the way it was executed. Dragging Freddie into the actors' real lives could have been done better, IMO, if that was to be its evolution. It could have led to some interesting sequels, though. Freddie slicing up Arnie as he tells him he won't be back. Freddie grinding up Eddie Murphy for Beverly Hills Cop 3. Freddie stringing up Stallone in a meat locker for Rocky 5. Come to think of it, might have been not half bad.

I'd buy that for a dollar!! :D

Freddy Vs the Beeb, now wouldn't that be cool
(as long as it's the last one and Freddy gets to win)
