The original, or should I say "episode 1" ?, was a nicely wrapped up package of entertaining silliness that needs to NOT be added to or redone
For me, Kurt Russell was the perfect Jack Burton and in many ways, and not just because he was the main character- made the first one as watchable as it was. The other actors were great too, but without Russell, it would have been a forgettable movie for me
do you know who nearly got the part...Jeff Freaking Bridges!!!!! that dude is a movie killer. Good thing Russell turned down the role of Connor Macloud in HIGHLANDER
