I understand.

When I see it I think of the men who went down with her and those who survived. The battle she went down in (Battle of Leyte Gulf) is considered the largest naval battle in history. It was also a disaster for Japan, as by the end of the battle the Japanese Navy basically had ceased to exist as a real combat force. The men exhibited incredible courage but the Japanese plan was insane, exposing their ships in broad daylight without air cover - and they paid the price.
