Was never a fan of Shakespeare but will acknowledge his influence in literature. This does seem more interesting than when I read it back in middle school.

The Belle of the Ball
Oh come now - Shakespeare covered it all - young love, adultery, envy, greed, being power-hungry,honor, self-sacrifice!! He is LITERATURE! I have been a Shakespeare fan since 6th grade. (Never tell me I won't "understand" a book/play. My first foray into Hamlet....and I was in love! :D ) So few people today understand Shakespeare's impact on our language and society! everyone understands a "Romeo & Juliet" situation, who can forget "what fools these mortals be" (a midsummer night's dream), how we disdain an Iago and laught at an Othello for being fooled! I could go on and on...

Oh but I forget Shakespeare is called an "old white man" and his work is disdained by those who seek to minimize the rich legacy left to us by those who went before! :P
