Dusk till Dawn the series

First ep I was skeptical and thought that the actors (good ones) were laying it on thick trying to match the style and sound of the original movie's actors

then I found out that this series is made by one of the TPTB's of the original and has the blessing of Tarantino (note--I only like 2 of his movies--the orig Dusk till Dawn and Pulp Fiction)

BUT!!! YOU WILL NOT LIKE this series IF YOU DID NOT like the original movie (part 2 and 3 were direct to DVD crap)

This series follows the original with little changes and fleshes out the stories of the Gecko brothers, the cop chasing them, the cartel vampire(s) and their goddess. It also goves far more story to the holy roller family the Gecko's take hostage

On ep 6 now--so far, and actually pretty good

It isnt bad, but you do need to see the original Dusk till Dawn and like it to like this show, like yongjin said.

Actually I'd say it follows the movie with major changes. But that doesn't mean it's bad. After all Richie and Santanico and indeed pretty much everyone but Seth and Katie die in the movie.

A few more eps to go. So far, it seems like this story is entirely the same as the first movie but more fully developed (as a series would allow)

all of the major points in the first movie now have back and side stories going on for them

almost like this is what the original creator would have wanted if giving the time and money

like how they use the myths of mesoamerica in crafting their tale of vampires
