from the TPTB;s listed it will probably be a crap sandwich judging by their previous works in 21 JUMP ST and DEVIOUS MAIDS

The original show was a comedy -- and you're right. It will probably be very dark and feature lots of up against the wall sex between same and opposite sex partners.
I'm already disgusted by Hollywood's apparently inability to come up with something new.
Hell, if I can come up with a whole new vampire story type, they can come up with new programming.
I remember with the original, how they changed the hero's last name mid-season, as originally it was "Hinkley", and they didn't want the association with John Hinkley, who attempted to assassinate Reagan during the run of the show.
