Basically add like numbers and you can move in the direction of the up down left right keypad. This has been around for a while but only now is popular, sad how facebook has that much power now. Alas...

The strategy I find that usually works up to a point is to stick to 3 directions on the keypad only and restrain from the other direction at all costs. I use down left right as my 3. Using those three, I usually have the bottom row filled out with high numbers and in a sort of increasing order.

Try it out, and see if you can get 2048 and beyond.

This strategy got me 4096:

Overall stick to 3 directions only, I used down, right, left. Quickly fill up the bottom row with high values and keep them in a successively increasing order. You can button smash for a little bit, maybe up to 128 or 256, by that I mean, just keep hitting down and left, down and left, and if nothing works, occasionally go right once and keep going down and left.

After a while though, you want to make sure everything doesn't fill up and you have some open boxes. Then just do that successive order trick. Essentially try and get a board like this (with my 3 directions)

_ _ _ _
_ _ _ _
* * * *
256 128 64 32

Something like that at the bottom. Keep the bottom high. Then build a 32 next to the 32 so you can make a 64 then go across.
