Will "seizure" be the ep that breaks the SGU fanbase?

OK, from everything I've read about seizure so far, it seems to be by far the most polarising episode ever of SGU. Even some of the more "hardcore" SGU fans have called the episode "bad". Mostly it appears to be over how the mission on Langrea was treated and the "out of character" things that happened in the episode. Now, I'm NOT looking for "Bout time they woke up" type comments (though I'm sure I'll get some :D), but weather You personally think this has the potential to do even further damage to the Stargate brand. I won't comment until I've seen the ep for myself, but I've never seen the SGU fanbase been so polarised, and I'm just interested to hear everyone's (who's seen it) thoughts on the subject.

GF'76, you pose a very good question! I believe it does. I think this episode not only further damages SGU but also SGA and as such the chances of the whole franchise coming back.
McSheppard was joking in the ratings thread, but I don't think he was that much off in the sense that there were many SGU fans cheering for the ratings to be low for this episode in order to score points in their perceived SGU x SGA war. Anybody who regularly reads the GW forum like yourself or who noticed what that "Chriton" guy did on the Syfy poll for this episode knows what I'm talking about.

As for "Seizure" being the most polarising episode of SGU, I think at least of season 2. That honor for the entire series go to "Earth" and "Life" in my opinion.

Earth and Life are mostly held up as examples of "how SGU lost its "stargate" fanbase more than anything else imo, not so much a polarising influence on the "hardcore" fanbase. For the first time EVER that I can recall, an episode of SGU has caused it's "hardcore" fanbase to actually stop and say "hang on a sec, this is entirely out of character for "stargate" ".

I hated the ep Hope before it even more. But I think most realistic SGU fans are now getting a little fed up with the writers. They underused Mckay and Woolsey, and so also peeved the SGA fans that were still watching. They took away their conveinent way to bring back Ginn and Amanda. They are really walking on thin ice.
