Paris-based Ubisoft Digital Arts' recent announcement that it was launching a film and television division has been followed by the news on May 15 that it will develop its top three video games - Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon - as 3D films.
Ubisoft has produced games from film and television programs such as Beowulf, King Kong, Lost, and Avatar, and Ubisoft Motion Pictures will expand beyond games to release its own properties for film and TV.
3 of my favourite franchises from ubisoft! I hope Michael Ironside is in the splinter cell series(the guy who does the voice of sam fisher).

Also, check out this film from ubisoft called, assassin's creed: Lineage(Similar to the Borgias TV series)

There are a lot of good video games that I've always thought would make excellent movies. Some get messed up, though, like Silent Hill.

Yeah, it's a fine line they've got to walk when they make a movie out of a game. I loved the Tomb Raider games but the movies were so so. And should I mention Prince of Persia?

I'm afraid to see what they would do with Bioshock or Fallout3 (or any Fallout games really). Resistance might make for a cool sci-fi movie, but I won't hold my breath expecting them to do it right.

Silent Hill was ruined. The first half was okay but then as soon as the second half came in, it turned crap!

What I would love to see is starcraft tthe movie it has the perfect premise/storyline which could make a great movie provided Uwe Boll isn't involved.Uwe Boll ruined far cry the movie for me. I refused to see it because the trailer is a disaster! Not to mention, he turns every movie to **** to every movie he touches.

IDK why people say you can't turn a video game into a movie. It's very much doable just requires the right directors and writers to make it work.

Re: Assassin's Creed.

AC is EPIC and any movie created has to match the epicness of that of the games.

I have a major crush on the character, "Ezio Auditore da Firenze" (AC2/Brotherhood) . Not a fan of his long hair but the character is based in the 15th-16th Century so what can you do? LOL. He is so damn sexy. Sure Desmond Miles have the same outline features as Ezio but I dunno, not as sexy as Ezio IMO.

Looking forward to AC3: Revelations-

After both his extensive exposure to the Animus, and the strain of the Apple on him, Desmond's conscious mind shattered, leaving him in a deep coma. He was placed back into an Animus by the Assassins in an attempt to keep his mind active. Here, Desmond slipped from the "White Room", which serves as the loading screen for genetic memories, into the "Black Room": a 'safe' room where Desmond could access his own fragmented memories through a back door in the Animus' programming. Desmond had to repair his splintered subconscious from within the Animus to wake himself from his coma, by eventually finding a specific memory that linked himself, Altaïr and Ezio together.

Ironically, the "Black Room" screen looks kinda unwelcoming.

Oh yes, the model that Desmond, Ezio and Altair is based on is the sexy model - Francisco Randez.
