Storyline

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. The original story has Lara Croft as a rich member of English aristocracy. In fact she trained her acrobatic skills in her big-ass mansion. That was literally the in-game tutorial. At no point did she struggle to pay rent nor was she a student who had trouble making it to class. This is a completely new version of the story and while it's fairly minor in terms of details, it's nonetheless lame and has nothing to do with the meat of the story. Typical Hollywood writers, they can't leave well enough alone.
