Typical Disney. They get their hands on an apple tree and decide to squeeze the shit out of it until it runs diarrhea. They just got a hot new property and, rather than taking a more strategic approach, their best move is to saturate its audience.

What other stupid superheroes are they going to pluck out of Marvel and throw up on the big screen? Not everything in Marvel needs to have its own movie, ffs.

Would you rather they were like DC and only plopped out a lousy, monochromatic turd every now and then? ;) :icon_lol:

Nah, but whipping out characters like Ant Man is really reaching deep down into that barrel. They're going to flood us with too many superhero movies at some point and saturate the market. There is a point where too many superheroes in the same universe makes the entire theme redundant.

I agree with Bluce. Too many different hero franchises running at once.

Really they should be trimming it back and just running Avengers (with Iron Man and Thor standalones) and Guardians of the Galaxy. Those two fit properly together and it won't oversaturate things. Plus this is making the wait for next chapters too long. For example they actually hit something good this year with Guardians of the Galaxy and propose to wait three years for its next chapter? That is too long and will cause interest to wane.

How long before we see kid versions of the Marvel characters? A new Saturday morning cartoon? A new theme area for Marvel at the theme parks? Disney is a buzzkill.

Um...yeah. :) Because Disney overdoes it every time. They ran Cars into the ground along with Toy Story.

Meh, I'll really don't need to ever see another Thor movie (or the character in general). He's incredibly boring and I don't get the appeal, at all, period. But if those movies are making money, from a number-crunching executive standpoint, it's a no-brainer to make more. Ant Man and Captain Marvel seem completely worthless though and I don't think anyone is clamoring for them to be made into movies. It does seem highly cynical and gratuitous to make these characters into movies. (And if they need them for the Avengers movies they should just use them without stand alone movies to explain their existence)
