How SGU can dramatically boost ratings.

I have a few ideas that, I believe would guarantee a spike in ratings, albeit short lived.

#1 - a special episode where Mallozi and Wright appologize for SGU and show a montage of all the action scenes in SGA.

#2 - Air a commercial spot , and provide the same spot online with the dialog:

"Disaster on board the Destiny ...... one of the crew gets mauled by the waste processing facility and doesn't make it out alive ... but who is it??????

If they make it look like a 80's whodunit, I think they have the ability to do this for at least 10 weeks before having to blow up the Destiny.

I shit-you-not, the ratings would spike to 2.0 million almost overnight, if they do it right and viewers find it funny and satisfying, word-of-mouth could potentially cause another spike to 2.5-2.7 million easy. A TV first, never been done in the history of television!

The key is to make the deaths funny and/or really horribly gross and messy. Then you got the "fitting end" to assholes like Scott or Chole. I could just see Chloe getting her mouth "stuck" on some alien shape shifting pickle of some sort.

Obviously you don't kill off BJS's character, right away, because you don't want the audience to breathe the sigh of relief just yet.

...you keep Scott's death for a spectacularily messy punch line to the whole series right before the good ship anime-porno, uhm i mean Density blows up because Rush gets a heart attack prior to steering the ship towards a junk-yard moon. (ya know, the "fitting end")

What do you guys think?

Two squirrels mating in a cage with minimal commercial interruption should suffice to boost the ratings.

Hmmm

Two squirrels mating in a cage with minimal commercial interruption should suffice to boost the ratings.
I don't know if that'd help at all. I saw two chimps screwing in a broom closet in the pilot and that didn't really help the ratings... :P

Actually if you want to really boost ratings, you take that idea of mallozzi and wright apologizing, but you expand on it. You make them part of the on set cast, invite all the angry fans down to the set for the filming, set it in rural montana during hunting season, and "ACCIDENTLY" have them shot on set on live TV by all the viewers that have had to force themselves to watch this circle jerk. Instant 4 million viewers. And just imagine what the ratings would do, if you included all the viral videos that would pop of it and how many people would rewatch it on youtube everyday. You know, all those online viewers that are watching SGPoo that aren't factored into the ratings that Mallozzi says exist.
