I like this prologue. It provides needed context.

I love the way those bubbles looked like stars, and I love the way they created The Breach for these films. It finally made sense how these creatures got here.

Exactly! It shows actual thinking went into the story.

The effects in this film are incredible!

The best part is they don't have that "CGI" look to them.

This film worked because of more money and American input. I dont think it could have been done only by the Japanese.

Also the drift is not only well explained it plays into the story.

Del Toro's penchant for really bizarre monsters worked very well here.

I don't think that was a fluid but rather the suit helmet powering up and such.

There is no "magic" in this story, which I love. The Jaegers look like actual tech. I like the fact that they are unique.

Yes. They all have personalities in that respect. This one is sort of like an old, grizzled warrior.

Idris Elba was awesome in this film. He totally comes off as a convincing General.
