ARQ netflix original sci fi movie

haven't watched it yet, but it looks at least entertaining.

a synopsis from the netflix YT channel:

"In a dystopian future, an engineer trapped in a house and surrounded by a mysterious gang of masked intruders must protect a technology that could deliver unlimited energy and end the wars that have consumed the world."

One house, and teens too! No way did that guy create that technology. I still want to give it a look-see though.

I tried watching it, kind of boring..maybe I'll try again

--why do so many tptb feel they need to infuse some other genre with sci-fi? it is good of done well with the main point still on the sci fi, but some are just to dramatic, or too crime story,etc

now something like THE EXPANSE is well done,, a lot of crime drama, who done it type stuff but the emphasis always remains on the sci fi element
