Not joking at all. You are acting as though Windows is some sort of granite or unchangeable entity. In case you forgot, it is a product created by people like me, and others who write code and who develop subroutines and databases and other...

I do value my privacy as well as others, but you got to be joking yourself if you think you can do anything to change anything.

Well that was an ill-conceived comment! Windows 10 goes where no software has gone before. And yeah, me of all people understands what that means. It is intrusion like no other, and for you to dismiss it out of hand and not know the particulars...

Easy fix. Seriously though, why are you being so paranoid? lol you out of all people should know that one of your communication has and was compromised at some stage. It's the same how someone would have glanced at your records, made a judgement...

[MEDIA] it goes much further. Guess they'll realize when it bombs. I hope that star trek doesn't bomb but I am not holding my breath either.

Okay they slipped this image into the cover art of rainmaker. After making Rachet and Clank which was hilarious and great, they have turned reboot into a live action, power rangers style crap. It's LIVE ACTION...I don't know whether I should laugh...

  9. Joelist replied to the thread THE EXPANSE --it's premise, plot and socio-political implications.

Hmmm......how to describe this episode without being spoilery? VERY nice episode. It continued drawing in the lines of the character of Bobbie Draper, who is fast becoming one of my favorite characters. I love the way she employs a soldier's...

  10. yongjin02 replied to the thread Star Wars REBELS Season 3 first trailer.

REBELS is moving closer to closing the time gap between the prequels, clone wars and itself and ROGUE ONE and the OT last ep of this season showed us Thrawn closing in on Phoenix Squad, forcing them to go to Yavin and the main rebel base...

  11. Overmind One liked Joelist's post in the thread Adventures in multibooting.

I rebuilt my Live version (patched the kernel) and now it doesn't throw USB-C errors anymore. The NVMe problem seems centered in GRUB so that tells me I either need to wait for GRUB's community to address the issues or run Mint in a VM. I may go...

  12. Overmind One rated Joelist's post Agree in the thread Adventures in multibooting.

Meanwhile I am checking out OSX Sierra. Overall not bad. Pretty fast (but then again this is screamer hardware) and they have made the Continuity features less in your face than they were in Yosemite. does what it is supposed to do. however see...

I do now. It looks like a driver update got pushed to the GPU today. I'll bet that was what beat the kernel panic :)

  17. Overmind One replied to the thread Time After Time.

That is the way it is with me and Star Trek. :) Just a few minutes to get some dots to connect, and if they don't, I am outta there. NuTrek lost me about 30 min into the 2009 movie. STID put it in the trash for me. Beyond just did not matter.

That was fast ... five and done. I remembered the movie too fondly to give this show any of my expendable time.
