just got a look t a snippet of ep 15(?)

it was where Burnham is talking to a hologram starfleet officer about blowing up kronus and federation ethics

and WHAT AN SJW moment that was!!! When all of the bridge crew got up and said something like 'we are starfleet' or whatever

talk about implanting current social issues into entertainment...sheez

and,, they are so bold..standing up to a hologram...oooohhhh...made me shake

at the beginning of the clip they showed the crew cowering at Georgio (not her? is her? wtf ever) so afraid of her, they could have easily did the same to her.

this is so in keeping with SJW action...protest in effigy or target abstentia, but don't say a word when it is in their faces

how did you guys watch all this shit? why did you watch this shit?!?!?

I thought the moment when the crew said we are starfleet was actually a good moment. Probably the best moment in the ep, maybe even of the whole season.

i can understand why you see that way, i am sure many ppl do...but being in america, surrounded by this SJW stuff every time you try to get some real news, you would see the obvious connection to the hipsters and other 'warriors' in the streets that that shot was mimicking

and again, if they can be so tough with a hologram, then why couldn't they do the same to the captain when she was there?

idk, the vid i saw seems to be edited down..like it jumps from this scene then to the one with the captain basically telling them to not move from their stations or even speak unless she commands them too. might be some context missing but i doubt it..sjw's don't seem to operate with context :)

WTF So disgusting....

You do know what a Kelpien is, right? Saru is a Kelpien. They actually cooked and ate a sentient being in the show. That is what they were eating for dinner. And this show is calling itself Star Trek. Nobody I know is interested in meeting or seeing any of these actors or producers from Discovery at any of the Trek conventions.

These writers want to be hip and edgy. They want to add shock value.

EXACTLY. But Star Trek was the wrong vehicle for that. You can't target the huge Star Trek fanbase because of potential profits, then serve this turd up and call it Star Trek.

Well, previously star trek was pretty trendy but in a good way. It did what other shows didn't but this formula that discovery is giving has already been done before.

That's because Discovery is not Star Trek, it's that thing that has been "done before". Just about everything in it has been done before. :)

Wait a sec ... Did not some of the crew try to have sex with the retardigrade ? But it ate them when they tried to put it in the wrong spot ? That's new ...
Pretty sure a retardigrade likes to be on top .

MUST SEE THIS:

We are right on the money with this show

So, CBS All Access is a fail, and so is Discovery. But we already knew that, right?! I am truly afraid of what they are going to try and do with Spock and Pike and the Enterprise 1701. And they plan to use this new Spock to retcon Michael Burnham into canon? FAIL (in advance). Perhaps in this show, Spock gets Kirk his command because they are in a sexual relationship? Who knows. They already did away with Pon Far in NuTrek.

Signs of death:

  • No toy manufacturers want to make NuTrek/Discovery toys (because they know nobody will buy them).
  • CBS has to foot most of the money for Season 2 (risk)
  • The fanbase is already gone, and they will not come back. CBS does not seem to understand this, and they think they can fix THIS show. They can't, without completely changing everything in it.
  • The "expanded audience" is far too small to support long term survival of this VERY VERY VERY expensive show.

It's a confirmation of literally everything that we surmised and predicted early on with this turd. :icon_lol:

This whole show trajectory reminds me of SGU so much. :) They filmed the first season and put it in the can before airing it for critics and fans. They were hush hush about details until the premiere. When the premiere came, the fans threw pies and tomatoes and rotten fruit and feces at it. The spin doctors and shills were hired, the media collaborators were paid and published glowing reviews, and that was a fail. Then the numbers started coming in (CBS gets to hide theirs), proving that the show was a fail. They spun up the pre-arranged Season 2 as a "renewal", and finally they desperately tried to rework the second season to appease the now absent fanbase, but it was too little, too late. Discovery is worse because of the money it cost. Season 2 will probably be better than Season 1 (of this show), but they cannot do the kind of MASSIVE changes they would need to do in order to make it fit into canon. Besides that, they have to go back and undo the existence of the spore drive, they have to explain the Klingons and redo the ships and uniforms and even the technology.

It's a goner.
