It's Star Wars! And unlike Star Trek, I can still feel a bit of excitement when something Star Wars comes out because it's still Star Wars. Wait...so is Star Trek!

I don't like the soundtrack at all. It's not Star Wars sounding to me. I don't need a huge, crashing orchestral thing like the other movies but it needed to have more gravitas and seriousness.
I also don't care for the lead actor, but I don't hate him. I get that Harrison Ford left his mark on the role so it will take some time to get past that. Maybe this new guy will turn out to be good, who knows?
It looks like it has some good moments I have to admit. That said, the trailer focused too much on a "heist" storyline. Surely that's not what the bulk of this movie is about? That already seems rather tedious if you ask me.
At any rate, maybe it will be entertaining. Fingers crossed.
I am going to see it no matter what trailers they publish, because...Star Wars. But they are going to have to bring Han Solo's heart into this dude to make him believable as a younger Han. They are rebooting him essentially. And they are cribbing off Chewbacca to connect it to canon. I am hopeful! Rogue One was awesome, but it did not have the weight of a main OT character like Han Solo to live up to.

my guess, if there is a big heist storyline then we will get some reveal that links the heisted item to something that happens in the OT--just a guess
in Rogue one we saw some links made to the OT and to REBELS, maybe they will do it here?
other than that-- Han Solo is really a flat character. he was comic relief in the OT and really didn't have any depth to his character. any depth comes from the canon books where we learn about his time in Imperial service and his rescue of wookies

Some people are making hay out of the fact that the Solo movie has a "female" droid without an owner. Apparently the droid has modified itself over the years. The title of the article is a bit click baity as it claims the droid built itself but clearly it's just modification over the years. As for the ownership aspect, I don't know if that's an SJW theme they're exploring or not. The droid is voiced as a female so maybe they are making a comment on female empowerment, blah blah blah.

. They are trying to make the robots have genders now? Funny! So, if I keep my Google Assistant female voice, then my Google Home Mini is a "girl"? I can easily give her a sex change to a man by changing the voice to a male, making my GHM a "boy"?

I don't see much use for giving work droids genders because it's pointless. They are machines designed to perform mechanical tasks and functions. I suppose if someone wants their droid to have a female voice that's their choice. Right now we just assume that R2D2 and C3PO are male. R2 could be a chick to be honest, but seriously, I don't care. He/she is not a sexbot so gender is pointless in this context.
And if the droid picked a gender to identify with all on its own then it gets into the area of AI and "human rights" for want of a better term. After all, the droids in the SW universe are considered property, not independent creatures with rights from what we've seen so far. If the writers are now going to make an issue out of gender for droids then they should really explain the role that droids have in society and if they actually are independent AI entities, etc.
