Time After Time

As a fan of the 1979 movie, Time After Time, I admit I am intrigued by the forthcoming Time After Time TV series.

The ordinal movie was well done and a lot of fun. Malcolm McDowell played an adorably naive & geeky HG Wells. David Warner was a chilling Ripper who felt "right at home" in the modern world. This has the opportunity to be great or it could all go horribly wrong! It premiers after Once Upon a Time on March 5th.

Is anyone else planning on giving this a try?

A Time after Time series might just be good! I will look for a trailer when they put it into production.

as long as they don't have a hero chasing the bad guy ad infinitude through the the varied grubby streets of varied grubby times--then it would be good.

That was fast ... five and done.

I remembered the movie too fondly to give this show any of my expendable time.

That is the way it is with me and Star Trek. :) Just a few minutes to get some dots to connect, and if they don't, I am outta there. NuTrek lost me about 30 min into the 2009 movie. STID put it in the trash for me. Beyond just did not matter.

I am fairly impressed with this show. They have updated it well. added new bad guys and twists and turns. If you are a fan of HG Wells' work you will recognize where certain story lines are going! The acting is good, the twists are truly things I didn't see coming, and each episode builds on the last. :)

Hopefully they will release the rest of the shows, so at least everyone gets to see the end of the show.

Okay, you sold me. :) If you are invoking HG Wells in the comparison, how can I resist? :icon_lol:

I just started watching this show, and it is actually very good! It has just enough humor, enough of a story, and well developed characters and backstories enough to keep me watching. :) It is definitely worth a watch, and it is fresh and entertaining.:

Well, they do sorta have Wells tracking and chasing the bad guy (Jack the Ripper) through time. HOWEVER, the "streets" are anything but grubby. They have made Jack this hunk of a dude who has style and a way with women, and they give him a soft side which suddenly shifts to a sociopathic killer without warning. Still, none of it is too edgy, and you won't cringe. It's worth watching!

Still enjoying the show. Yes Jack is HOT!!!! And well drawn as a sociopath. Like many sociopaths he goes from "normal" to full-on psycho in 2 seconds! Well done

Well another intelligent interesting show gets cancelled! I am just hoping they sell the series with unaired EPs on DVD! Just like No Where Man, if a show makes one think with no sex or pew, pew...it gets cancelled! Grrrrrrrr
