Wasabi

I believe that wasabi is the most manly thing to eat at a Chinese buffet.

Burned my sinuses out today while eating egg rolls.

I usually can't resist it when I get sushi. I don't know why, there's just something about it. I have to put a dab on each piece along with some pickled ginger. Yum!

I spoke in a presumptuous manner. I had spicy mustard at the buffet, not wasabi. I like wasabi peas though.

If that picture is one you took of what you had, then you had wasabi. :) I have never seen so much in a single serving! That is enough for two dozen people.

When I am taken to sushi, I put it on the super fishy smelling bits or a tad in my rice. I dont do sushi that much, only when invited. :) I like it because it is properly spicy.

i have sed for clearing out my sinuses while in the midst of an infection

love how it just makes the snot roll out!

HOwever, until recently i was not aware that many doctors say DO NOT use wasabi for this as wasabi inflames the sinus lining even more-possibly opening one up for more infection

personally-ill take the relief over the "possible"

I don't really like the flavour of wasabi. It's not the heat, I've eaten way hotter things.

But!!!

I do like the movie Wasabi by director Luc Besson. Awesome little flick about an overstressed French police officer who used to be in French intelligence, set in Japan. I highly recommend it. Don't expect Hollywood style though.

I love spicy foods, but not wasabi spicy.

It stars Jean Reno by the way. And he does an excellent job. If you don't know who he is, look him up yourself coz I can't be arsed to dig for a link now at the end of this very, very long day.

By the way, if you want something spicy, try the vindaloo chicken from the Indian place around the corner here. It's exquisite, but guaranteed to give you headsweats.

and of course..chili powder (hot and mild) and paprika... :)

we started using more and more of this stuff to replace flavoring with salt btw

I can't handle spicy foods but for some reason, I can do wasabi in very small amounts on good fresh sushi.

I like food spicy to the point where other people consider it "hot", but only when the dish is supposed to be spicy or would benefit from the spices.
