Well, if you want to moderate a new BSG forum here, you are welcome to do so. :) You will have control over posts and topics...

I think that writers and producers were getting resentful over the mostly "meh" response to Syfy's shows. :)

well, the end of an error I suppose. I noticed the peeps at Syfy(llis) are not happy with the way most real science fiction fans feel about their channel. It's sucked since NBC bought it. :P

SYFY (llis) used to be a good channel for old and new science fiction & fantasy. The new Shannara mini series is on MTv...that tells ya somthing! ;)

Lets try and grab the folks over there. They are shutting down, and this is an opportunity to keep those voices from being silenced. I will be busy updating this place next week before the holidays.

I am thinking of doing a little piece of salvage from there but it will be time consuming.

I member named midshift brigwatch created a hilarious series of flash videos named "Down in the Dumps with Saul Tigh". It would be a pity for them to be lost but I am unsure I have the time to go in there, copy all of them out in the right order and repost them here. I will see though.

We need to preserve some of the good threads there or at least the titles of the threads. I cant get in with my old account. :( I have not been banned so...

No, no, and NO for me. My hips are getting better, so if loosing this major distraction doesn't encourage me to get off my ass nothing will.

Ascension was totally bludgeoned on the SyFy thread, which probably prompted a quick re-assessment of their Boards as an advertising vehicle. SyFy - FaceBook appears to be a place where you either have to 'like it' or they encourage you to take off, eh.

A lot of the threads over in the BSG section were 'spaced', or savaged years ago so a lot of everyones work has been lost making for a lesser posterity.

By the sounds of it a dedicated few are looking for a new home so a big-wig should get over to SyFy and start doing some advertising or they might flee to a different Board.

The purpose of internet forums, the kind you can sit in front of at your desk and have a cup of coffee with, are the only bastions of social gathering and conversation you can get without being inside one of the huge tentacled interconnected walls of Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Pinterest/LinkedIn. The studios and entertainment purveyors do not profit or benefit from audience participation except that which takes place between one's wallet and the powers that be. We have advertising for casual surfers, but once logged in you are free of them.

If we can remain a diverse community we can discuss lots of shit and bring other scifi and fantasy fans out of the rain. Perhaps I will devote an entire day this weekend to this goal? :)

a while back i sent a ton of "invites" to various ppl there

only got a few to come here

some we may not want here

just saying... prepare for battle
