I admire all those hard working people who do all those disgusting jobs. Mike Rowe made me appreciate their profession even more! Unfortunately, society tends to treat them as 3rd class citizens and their pay rate isn't as high as some douchebag CEO of a company that gets paid millions of dollars to wear some fancy suit. Nevertheless, I am glad he is back on air with a show that looks almost identical to dirty jobs!

I completely agree. If you have ever seen a live film crew (a standard one, not a news crew), you can see sloth on full display. People hitting the Starbucks table multiple times, piling up on shrimp or brie and bread rounds, or cold cuts or donuts. And even though I can fully understand and approve of giving your crews refreshments, but damn...they freakin bring a whole town, complete with a mobile Starbucks and separate Bistro:

What's wrong with sandwiches and water and chips and soda and perhaps hot dogs and hamburgers or even barbeque? I have seen actual full on chefs working mobile kitchens for film crews. Why this comment on the incredible waste and expense? Because only the peons are actually working hard (cameramen, gaffes, electricians, sound crews, boom operators, set supervisors, runners). At least half the people there are assistants, drivers (hey, most stars dont like to drive to sets), maintenance crew personnel (yep, they actually bring their own to clean up afterwards). Does everyone get to eat everything from concessions? Um, NO! Seriously. So, the hard working crews get only half the privileges. They can have drinks and food, but they cant have the Starbucks or shrimp or steak kabobs. Sometimes, they actually have their own separate food setup like a roach coach.

I wonder what the pay is really like for the woman touching up shoes?
