Talk about a glutton for punishment, dude was married eight (8) times. :icon_lol:

(One of those times was to Ava Gardner, which is kudos for him cuz he definitely married up with that one.)

Mickey Rooney was the original Hardy boy.

His 200-plus film credits notwithstanding, the spry, spirited Rooney will be best remembered for playing the impetuous title character in MGM's belovedAndy Hardy movies.

Rooney, 93, who died Sunday, leaves behind a colorful Hollywood legacy that spanned 80 years and a couple hundred films, including Boys Town and The Black Stallion.

LOVE Mickey Rooney (real name Joe Yule Jr.) - he could do it all - sing , dance , & act. He was always a champion of Judy Garland and was very scathing about how the Studio System got her addicted to drugs and then abandoned her. He was a class act all the way and will be long remembered- from a teenage Puck in A midsummer's Night's Dream (with Olivia De Havilland and James Cagney) to the beloved voice of Santa Claus (in Santa Claus is Coming to Town). RIP sir, you earned it!
