Craters found in Siberia

this is a fascinating article:
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Two more craters of unknown origin have been spotted in Russia's Siberia region, weeks after a similar-looking hole was found in the isolated northernmost area, a local paper reported.
The Siberian Times, an English-language newspaper, published pictures of two new giant holes discovered by reindeer herders, one located in the Yamal and the other in the Taymyr peninsula, both above the Arctic circle.
The paper said that theories of their origin range from meteorites or stray missiles to aliens or an underground gas explosion. The report could not be confirmed independently.

Why are they calling them craters? Those are sinkholes.

The picture posted in the OP shows ejecta, which means it is not a sinkhole. Sinkholes make craters, but there would be no crater wall formed by ejecta. No?

There's nothing ejected. Look at the photo carefully. The land mass broke and slid around the hole.

Im talking about the mounds around the crater. That isnt ejecta?

The material around the Siberian crater looks like ejecta, since the rim of the crater is raised and there is material...but Im not insisting on it! It just looks more like a crater caused by an impact or an eruption rather than a sinkhole. :)

At a glance, it does, but, if you look more closely, you'll see the hole has a rim and the material that looks like ejecta around the hole looks more like exposed rock or dirt from the ground cracking.

This explains Putins behavior-he has been taken by Alien bodysnatchers!!

====================

The people of Siberia (the natives not the Russians) have a long history of sightings of advanced ppl (in their eyes) who have been living below the surface since the onset of the ice age. Per tradition they have an underground civilization

Native Americans have some shared beliefs in this area as well

Not saying I believe it-just saying

(there is about 30,000 yrs of :unaccounted for: time in modern man's history= 40,000 bc - 10,000 bc. What did they do? Older and older sites of cities and settlements and massive stone structures, finely engineered are being discovered pushing back the dates of 'civilization" further and further back)
