Allergies

Ugh! As much as I love the fact that Winter is ending I hate the allergies that come with the melting of the snow. Every March as soon as the snow melts off the lawns a layer of mold grows all over the place. This makes for allergy hell. :(

No, that's not snow or frost in the pics, it's the offending creature: mold.

OMG! I would be going crazy from the spores in that mold. :( Can you spray something on it through a hose that would kill it? Is there a mold smell too? I never knew snow did that, but it totally makes sense.

No smell really. And it's still too cold to put the garden hose out yet. I've got a frost-less spigot but the hose would freeze with water in it if I put it out this early. There's nothing you can really do but just wait for the days to get warmer and dry it all up. Some years are worse than others with the mold thing. A lot of people are allergic to it, like me. :(

I get it a bit with spring flowers blooming. But Im hoping my new clear lungs will not make for a more intense allergy season for me. I hope you make it through this. Wow...an entire carpet of mold? Just damn. :(

Yeah it sucks. My head feels swollen as I type this, that's how crazy these allergies are. And OTC meds don't do anything to help much. But in a couple weeks things will be much better. I'm already thinking about wearing shorts and going barefoot. :)
