So... a trailer for The Punisher was released not too long ago. An official release date is unknown but I've read on a website that it might be October 13th.

I'll give this show a try, but I'm still seriously considering dropping Netflix streaming. If this show is good at least I'll be able to binge watch it before I drop the service.

They pulled the panel from NYCC and are considering pushing back the release date of the show due to the Las Vegas massacre. Obviously gun violence plays a big part in this story hence the hesitation to go forward right now. Netflix is playing it close to the vest at this point. Speculation is that if the release is delayed the show will air starting sometime in November. We'll see I guess.
I dropped mine years ago. But each year I can get a 30 day trial for free. This one came and went and I did not buy back in. I am coming to the end of my Hulu Premium (no commercials) trial. I really like Hulu because it has fewer shows, but it has my FAVORITE shows. No Bollywood in there, no filler. Amazon Prime is still my goto because I have been ordering stuff, but I may drop it for Hulu. I will NOT keep both.

The first episode was kind of slow and drawn out. We get it, his family died and he can't let it go. We don't need to be reminded of this with a dream sequence every 3 minutes. And the arab chick Federal agent going rogue is boring as f***. I don't give two shits what happened in Afghanistan and am sorely tempted to fast-forward through all of her scenes.
(Especially the scenes where they tell us that she's a Moslem without directly stating that she's a Moslem. She and her mother drink wine, oh my!
That's how we know they aren't radical Moslems, because they drink wine and mention that they love America. But her father is devout and doesn't drink wine, although he will pour a glass each night for his wife because sanctioning illicit behavior is a tenet of Islam apparently. 
The fact that he practices his faith, even though he has issues with it, is supposed to somehow matters to us, I'm not sure why. More importantly, I don't care. They wasted a huge chunk of the first episode on this inane religious nonsense.)
The opening sequence was pretty awesome I must admit. The sniper scene was amazing.

On episode 8 or maybe 9 at this point. It's very drawn out and I can already tell that this series could have been cut down dramatically. This isn't a "slow burn", it's a tedious crawl at times. And so far it's been very predictable. I spotted the "Judas" in the first episode. And all this family shit is incredibly tiresome. It's bad enough we get Frank's white bread family via nonstop flashbacks but now we have to deal with Micro's white bread family (replete with white people problems to solve) in every single episode.
When they named this show The Punisher I didn't know that meant they would be punishing viewers. My bad I guess.

dropped psvue as 'live tv' option for hulu with live tv
it is a little irritating though, some networks still run ads (contractual with hulu i guess) and in the case of FOX, there seems to be no live viewing, just on demand after the air date. another issue--you can watch AMC live but can't on demand many of the shows. still working it out
i wish they had a 'grid display' to show channels--like pluto does!
