The Lion King Live Action Movie

Disney has an impressive library of animated movies, but since the start of the decade, the studio has been selecting numerous tales from this collection to adapt for live action. This includes using the best special and visual effects the movie-making industry has to offer to achieve a live action look for Disney movies that couldn't be fully or partially adapted in traditional live action. The Jungle Book did that in 2016 with everything that wasn't Mowgli, and following in its footsteps is The Lion King, arguably the biggest hit from the Disney Renaissance era.

This is one iconic movie that should not be touched. It was perfect how it was.

It actually might be good hopefully. If it can match to the original, I'll be happy. This movie is iconic and legendary. It's still one of all time favorites.

Okay, but there is already an original. Who asked for a live action redo of it? I love the story which is why I have the movie. This one is redundant.

I just watched the trailer. It appears to mirror the original exactly, except for modern CGI instead of cartoonish visuals. The original was a great production. (apparently the idea was completely stolen, but whatever, it was still good) This trailer looks good too. I guess I'll enjoy this movie seeing as I enjoyed the original and I haven't seen that in like decades.

I want to see this. The realism in the animals is incredible. That is the only reason I want to see it, since the story was already told in the original animated movie. Plus...it's a kitty. :)
