So, it's been what has felt like a million years, but really just a bit over 3 years now, and finally I can plant my feet on American soil for a few weeks again. Next week we land in LAX for a few days to visit my big brothers family and then onward to my PHL to stay with a beloved family friend for another week. I am both nervous and excited. It's been a long damn time and I can't wait see my mom and some of my best friends, not too mention my beautiful baby doggy!

I miss USA, so this is a long awaited trip. My job now is not so easy with keeping in touch with my American peeps so here's hoping a few remember me enough to make some time. Here we come America.

Enjoy your visit and try to keep your hubby from causing trouble! ;)
It's always nice to be back "home". Are you going to miss the Nor'easter in Philly?

I think so, we won't be in PHL until March 19th. I choose to fly to CA first since my big brother lives there, but find us having some free-time there and thinking maybe we should drive down to San Diego since it is so cool there due to my brother's busy schedule.

I hear you, Belfast weather beyond sucks A##. It is nothing but cold and damp 85 percent of the year. I will say, I do miss the snow too. Cold wet rain year round, just stinks. If I could move back, I want my four full seasons back.

My local stomping grounds! I work very close to LAX, and I live in Long Beach now. It is absolutely beautiful here when you are coming. You will be able to do several beach days, eat some great food, and have a great time!

It would not have been possible for us to go to London in December. We had lots of work to do and had several visitors at home. We could have met you in Belfast however. ;)

That is good to hear. I look forward to being in a beautiful environment after having spent three years in this misery.

If you have time, perhaps we could meet while we're over there. We only have a few days though.

I believe we were. At least for the first part of the trip in LA.

In LA, and in California in general, NOT having a car is really not an option. We have a fledgling public rail system, and a decent bus system, but that is just to go from point A to point B. Use the hell out of that rental car!
