Plurality- Another short sci-fi film

A few signs of bad acting & flaws here and there but the concept doesn't seem all that bad. It's obvious that sci-fi can be done on a budget and this proves that theory.

Enjoy.

WOW! Just WOW! I loved that...it could easily be a series. But its concept is very close to Continuum. Well done!

That was interesting, very big brother-ish, but I think these shorts work only as shorts, it'd be a different field if they were to make it into full length features as a movie or tv.

I got the same vibe ;).

The premise of this one is too close to that of Continuum, but I like the idea of the pluralities. Doesn't that mess with the temporal paradox concept?

"none of these pluralities had a criminal record until we detained them" first, since when is it a crime to be detained? second-isn't that the way things are going now? many ppl are now honest, hard working, educated but the larger government grows then the greater the chances that more "good ppl" become criminals by default. Might be because they like to drink 20oz drinks in NYC or they want to be off the grid and use wind power and solar instead of being "slaved" to the electric company. Apparently both of these are now crimes in some locales.

safety is worth sacrificing freedoms--bullshit. take your patriot act loving ass to NYC and build a wall around yourself and your f'd up island, Obama could have chose to take actions against the PATRIOT Act instead he allowed it to be reinstated (http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2010/0301/Obama-signs-Patriot-Act-extension-without-reforms)

"cognitive stress?" anytime we think we are in some type of 'cognitive stress'.

a "grid" like this would only serve the needs of a "nanny state" government and the corporations who will pay for your data, so they can sell you more shit

"UN moved HQ's to Geneva" Yes! The only good thing in this film

All of this high tech hype can only exist with a properly built and maintained electric infrastructure. "can't do anything in NYC without the grid knowing" so if the power goes out everyone is really super f'ckd hey? I think we need to learn how to fix and maintain what we have first. there are, even now, people in Long Island and NJ without power or heat due to Sandy. F the "grid"

some may say it is "bold and brave" steps like the one depicted in this "film" needed to achieve a "star trek" planet, or anything close to one. well, f that, i'll be glad to eat grass and worms in a cave so long as i do not have government, corporations and those who worship money knowing about everything i do. they know enough already

Well, if you want to get technical, yeah it does but, every science fiction show that is set in space, always assumes that there is sound in space when it's one big vacuum. I guess it would all depend on how much you are willing tolerate of what is believable and what isn't.

That would make a VERY interesting topic of conversation. :)
